As every year, this year the Organizing Committee of Spetses Mini Marathon invited us to participate. Our friend Lefteris Paraskevas for our participation in the anniversary 5th Spetses Mini Marathon…

"On the weekend of October 10-11 I had the great pleasure and honor to spend it in the race Spetses Mini Marathon invited by the association "PERPATO". I went to the race to support an athlete of the club and get to know some of its members.
2 on Saturday morning I was waiting in Dapia for Alexandros Taxildaris with his girlfriend and his assistant Rafael to help with the transport. Whatever anxiety I had about how I should behave disappeared and everything passed into humor and fun, it felt like we had known each other for years. My next surprise came at breakfast where I met Makis Kalara. Hey, how you doing, and we're off for coffee in Dapia. 3rd surprise Thodoris Samonas, very quiet with his smiling companion Electra Veneti. The whole day of Saturday found us going from restaurant to Cafe and vice versa. Day of rest and relaxation with people who know humor and enjoy life much more than us.
Sunday 7: 30 in the morning waking up and preparing for the 25 km race.
We prepared Alexander's handbike with Rafael and left to catch the start. The race started in the first half we went easy talking and generally joking. Only on some steep climbs I had to intervene and help a little by pushing the handbike. The second half of the race found us in the mood to press it a little and to pass people all the time. A big moment of the race for me was in Dapia where, when we arrived and we had to raise the handbike with Alexander up the steps, people from the crowd offered and helped to make the transfer in seconds. Our passage from Dapia to Posidonio with hundreds of spectators shouting and cheering was one of the most moving moments I have experienced in my life. We finished in a time of 2 hours 19 minutes which, with the heat and humidity of the day, I would say is a respectable time..
3 hours after the end of the race we packed our things and everyone took the way back. What is certain is that in the near future we will meet again and do beautiful things together! Thank you for the honor you did me to be next to you even for so little...»
